Scorpions Scorpions are part of the phylum arthropoda. They are a species of arthropods that have eight legs, two large claws and a long tail that curls over the top. At the end of the tail it has a venomous stinger. Scorpions range in size from the smallest being 1/2 inch in length to the largest at about 7 1/2 inches in length. They are segmented into three sections. The muscular system is attached to its exoskeleton which allows it move quickly with great agility over very difficult terrain.
